As the winter chill set in, the mission required some strategic thinking to keep the momentum going.
November 2025: The Lone Local Kitty
November was a remarkably quiet month on the cat front, yielding exactly one encounter. Fortunately, a brilliant black-and-white kitty was braving the cold and happy to accept a quick greeting. It was the only feline logged for the entire month, pushing the tally to 398.
December 2025: The Midlands Café Crawl and Milestone 400!
With the tracker sitting tantalisingly close to the 400 mark, December required a serious push. The strategy? A highly effective tour of the Midlands’ finest indoor feline establishments. We went to a concert at Birmingham NEC so naturally filled our time with cate cafes!
The first stop was the Nottingham Kitty Café, which delivered an absolutely staggering 18 cats. Walking into a room filled with that many professional loungers is an absolute dream scenario. Part of a small chain as the one I went to in Birmingham and they had loads of beautful kitties!
Following that massive success, a visit to the brilliantly named Slice of Purrfection cat café in Solihull added another 10 kitties to the ledger.
To finish off the year, a trip to Andover yielded two wonderful black kitties hanging around St Anne’s Hall. I forgot to get any photos of these cute floofers, so I might have to make a return visit at some point.

Not only did we breach the 400 mark, but we surged right past it, finishing the year with an exceptional 428 felines successfully petted. The journey into 2026 is looking incredibly promising!
