June was a modest but highly distinguished month for the grand mission, adding two very specific felines to the tracker.
First up was a local encounter with a stunning Bengal cat known as Ben (not his real name, my parents-in-law have started calling him that when he hangs around their garden), roaming around Marldon. Bengals always bring a touch of the wild to the spreadsheet, and Ben was a brilliant addition.
The second cat of the month required a slightly more academic setting. Whilst visiting Royal Holloway University, I had the absolute privilege of meeting ‘Tink’, the official library cat. Every educational institution should have a resident feline to help students de-stress, and Tink was an incredibly professional, well-read contributor to the 1,000 Cat Mission.
