If you thought July was a successful month, September completely blew it out of the water. This was, without a doubt, the single most lucrative month in the history of the 1,000 Cat Mission. With a staggering 85 cats added to the tally, we absolutely smashed through the 200 milestone and rocketed straight towards 300.
Cat Show Live: The Ultimate Cheat Code
I had already figured out that cat shows were a brilliant strategy, but Cat Show Live took things to an entirely new level. Walking the aisles of this massive event felt like hitting the jackpot. Everywhere I looked, there were pristine, professional show cats waiting to be admired. By the time I left, I had successfully greeted and petted an unbelievable 66 cats in a single day. When it comes to efficiency, you simply cannot beat a room packed full of the country’s finest felines. It was so busy we didn’t manage to get any pictures of cats!
A Double-Dose of Cafés
Not content to rest on the laurels of the cat show, I also hit the road for some café hopping. A trip up to the Birmingham Kitty Café yielded a highly respectable 13 cats, proving once again that a cup of tea and a room full of professional loungers is a winning combination.
Closer to home, I made a triumphant return to the Cool for Cats Cat Café. They previously provided a huge boost back in September 2023, and they delivered again exactly a year later with 5 wonderful new cats.
Old Friends
To round off this monumental month, I paid another visit to my brother-in-law. Whilst I only managed to log one of their cats this time round (the others was clearly busy doing important cat things), it is always a privilege to keep up with the regulars.
